Not produced in 2014, this wine is unique in our range being exposed to the influence of oak. Our Ortega grapes ripen early and after whole bunch pressing we ferment them in second hand French oak barrels in order to impart a hint of oak. We then stir the lees for several weeks in order to develop a richer, fuller wine style. The Ortega is then blended with Chardonnay, resulting in a complex, rounded and expressive wine.
This wine would match well with simple fish or chicken dishes.
