Still Wines

We produce a range of four dry white still wines; each with a distinctive aroma profile yet linked by our signature style of purity, freshness & balance and characterised by a super-crisp refreshing acidity.

Using only our own grapes grown at Albourne, unusually for still wines, the bunches are carefully hand-picked and whole bunch pressed to ensure extraction of only the finest juice. In our Winery we diligently protect the juice, select unique yeasts and manage the ferments to ensure we enhance and preserve the delicate grape aromas.  Our wine making philosophy is to capture the essence of vintage, variety and vineyard by allowing the varietal character and nuances of each year to shine through.

Bacchus

Quintessentially ‘English’, our Bacchus’ ‘water-white’ paleness belies its pronounced aromas – ranging from herbal, elderflower and lime to grapefruit and guava.

White Pinot Noir

Our unusual White Pinot Noir requires careful whole bunch pressing to extract the nuances of red Pinot Noir grapes in a crisp and delicate white wine.

Estate Selection

A complex and carefully crafted blend of our most elegant batches of still wines – led by Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris and complemented by our other varietals.

 

Cellar Selection

Produced from the gentle barrel-fermentation and repeated battonage of Ortega, artfully blended with Chardonnay for structure and length.
